Yesterday was another sight seeing day. We drove west on highway 64 to Anna Maria Island to see how the other half live on the Gulf Coast and check out the beach. As before the scenery was great driving through Orange Groves and Cattle country but when we arrived at the beach it was awesome.
The first thing we saw when we arrived were these amazing Sand Sculptures.
From here we headed south on Gulf Drive down the thin island to Sarasota. We passed through quaint towns where the other half live and vacation. It was very enjoyable and I wish we took pictures but I didn't think about it until we were off the island.
When Sarasota came into view the skyline was beautiful and I really should have taken a picture but again I didn't.
It was a scenic drive back up highway 41 although there was a lot of traffic. We were sure glad to get back on highway 64 heading home. It is more enjoyable driving in the country than city traffic.
It was a short day and we were glad to get back home at Peace River.
